Callocephalon fimbratum

Found in pairs or small flocks, frequenting heavily-timbered mountain ranges in Eastern Australia, NSW south to dense coastal forests of Victoria. Feeding in trees, on the seeds of eucalypts and some species of acacia. The Gang-Gang has a distinctive rasping screech with an upward inflection. Flies with loose deep wing beats. Nesting in a hole in the tree from October to January.
