Grassland parrots are found in a variety of habitats providing seed-bearing ground-cover throughout

Southern and Eastern Australia. Feed on the ground, in small flocks, flying high when disturbed.

Some are now very rare, others increasing. Nesting: hollow in eucalypt or mulga. Voice: soft twittering
